Who is your target audience?
Women creative entrepreneurs; bloggers; 34 – 50 years old
What’s the “Why” behind your business/es?
I believe that everyone has a unique gift that must be shared with the world. My goal is to support women in creating a platform that will allow them to spread and monetize their gifts!
What is one major obstacle you had to overcome to become the woman you are today?
Losing a dear friend and business partner along the way.
How will people benefit from an experience with you?
One of my unique value propositions is delivering Strategy Magic: specific, proven strategies for success in a magical environment of support, inspiration and fun.
How do you manage being a mom and/or wife and a thriving entrepreneur?
My village is everything! Also, setting boundaries and asking for help.
Any advice for those who are struggling with being a mom and/or wife and a thriving entrepreneur?
Yes. Embrace the challenges. Strive to be present in each moment and don’t try to be superwoman! Your kids are so proud of you – go mom!!!
Share any mommy/wife advice that you feel is necessary and priceless.
Remember your partner! They are along for the ride with you – honor their sacrifices too.
Any advice for those who feel like they are stuck?
Take a break. Unplug. Find your energy sources: http://justicefergie.com/2014/10/know-energy-sources/ Also, find a mentor or a coach to get you unstuck.
Have you ever had to deal with negative people since becoming an entrepreneur? If so, how did you handle them?
Um, YES! Understand that their negativity has nothing to do with you and everything to do with them. Show them love anyway!
Any advice for those who want to become an entrepreneur?
Do it. But go into it with both eyes wide open. Here are some tips: http://justicefergie.com/2013/02/5-strategies-for-transitioning-from-your-day-job-to-your-side-business/
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Great question. I like that I’m not 100% sure – it means that anything is possible. What I do know for certain is that I will be available for my kids and my husband – they are my everything.
If you could give your 18 year old self advice, what would it be?
Study abroad! Go to NYC and do that magazine/TV internship. You’ve got nothing to lose!
Who inspires you and why?
My mom. She is retired, just completed her year with the Senior Peace Corps in Mexico, has a wonderful group of friends and lives life to the fullest.
Share a quote/scripture/song that motivates you?
Carpe the Diem!! (I know it’s not the actual saying but I love adding the “the” – in fact, I designed a wrapping paper with that on it! https://fettiwrap.myshopify.com/collections/frontpage/products/carpe-the-diem)
