Interview with Svelte Boutique Owner, Sharon Stewart

As you know, the Real Wife Movement promotes healthy sexual relationships in marriage. I was so happy to find the owner of a fairly new Lingerie boutique. I was honored that she allowed me to interview her.

Who is your target audience?

Professional women age 25-50 years of age, single, engaged, or married.

What’s the “Why” behind your business?

Often times black women are hyper sexualized I’d like to show black women as the natural sexual beings that we are! And not the often hyper sexual beings often portrayed in the media. We are mothers, business women, wives, doctors, lawyers, everything and we have the right to be sexy, feel sexy and ENJOY sex!

What do you hope women will come away from your business with?

I hope women will come away with a confidence in which they never had. I hope they are able to walk away with a sense of sexual freeness that allows the to live a life unconcerned of others. I hope they walk away feeling, free, sexual, beautiful, and powerful.

Who inspires you and why?

I think 2016 for black women really inspired me. So many amazing achievements happened that showcased black women in such a positive and powerful light. It empowered me to know I can do anything I put my mind too!

Any advice for those who want to become an entrepreneur?

Study, read, and partner with a business mentor or business bestie. I started my store from scratch (and have a long way to go) but I’ve learned a lot from networking with other black female business owners, reading to podcast, and reading.

Share a quote/scripture/song that motivates you?

Scripture: Isaiah 34:19-cause I really do believe God will make a layout of no way. He will create rivers in the desert.

If you are in the market to freshen up your lingerie drawer, make sure to support Svelte Boutique. She currently has items marked down.
